After sanding the shell is finished with a clear lacquer that highlights the natural look of the brass while standing out on stage.A 3.5 mm extra-deep snare bed increases contact between the head and snares improving sensitivity especially at lower dynamics where control matters most. Stainless steel straight snare cables slightly mute the bottom head compared to coil wires resulting in sharper response and clearer phrasing. Tube lugs minimise contact with the shell to maintain resonance while distributing tension evenly across both heads. Plus Yamahas Q type strainer provides simple reliable on/off control for quick adjustments during rehearsals or performance.
