Utilising the much sought-after YHR-861 and legendary Yamaha manufacturing consistency as benchmarks Yamaha enlisted top artists from major symphony orchestras around the world to help them build a horn that will satisfy all players. As a result the YHR871 is designed to help players achieve their ultimate goal of expression and artistry. Blending traditional designs - such as the Geyer wrap style - and innovative features like the gold brass leadpipe design this instrument has an excellent response and beautiful sound. The inner tubes of the tuning slides are made of gold brass and the main tuning slide has a rounded shape - creating the ideal amount of blowing resistance resulting in a clear centred sound.
