What are good alternatives to the Sennheiser e935 vocal microphone?

The Sennheiser e945, Shure Beta 58A and Shure SM58 are sensible alternatives to the e935. Compare them with your own voice and PA setup rather than choosing on price alone.
If you’re considering the Sennheiser e935 at the supplied best new price of £169, two nearby options are the Sennheiser e945 at £167 and Shure Beta 58A at £161. Those small price differences make an audition more useful than simply picking the cheapest.
