The Meinl Byzance Dark 24 Big Apple Dark Ride is a completely hand-hammered and unlathed ride cymbal with a raw vintage visual style. The thin depth and unlathed surface make for a natural and earthy tone with dark complexities and cutting metallic stick definition. The washiness doesnt open up immediately but when it does the projection is loud and intensely dark with a gritty vintage sound that fades out quickly. The Big Apple Dark Ride works great in contrast with brighter sounding cymbals or with a dark vintage kit and suits a wide range of musical styles.
