The Meinl Generation X 14 inch Filter China is made from a unique FX9 alloy (69% copper 15% manganese 15% zinc 1% aluminium) creating a flexible yet strong cymbal. Using pressure point technology the innovative design incorporates holes - hence the word Filter - and a waved edge. These features create a trashy dark and fast tone thats great for accents.A mid-bright timbre and wide blade lathing creates a complex sinister sound that lends itself to drummers looking to explore new sonic territory. Quieter than normal chinas close miking is recommended. Aimed at revolutionising cymbal sounds it works great in stacks for an experimental addition.
