Het verhaal

Aquila is an Italian string brand whose range includes strings for ukuleles, guitars, banjos and historical stringed instruments. It is particularly known for its ukulele strings and Nylgut, a synthetic material developed as an alternative to natural gut.

Its ukulele catalogue covers soprano, concert and tenor instruments, with sets for both high-G and low-G tunings. Product families include New Nylgut and Red Series, while Thundergut strings cater for bass ukuleles. Aquila also produces natural gut strings for historical performance.

The Aquila selection currently available through MyGear’s partner retailers comprises 10 products priced from €8 to €25. This places the listed range among relatively inexpensive replacement-string purchases rather than instruments or larger accessories. The selection is centred on ukulele strings, alongside a medium-gauge five-string banjo set.
