Steven Slate Drums

Steven Slate Drums is a software brand focused on sampled acoustic drums for music production. Its core products include the SSD virtual drum instrument and TRIGGER, a drum-replacement plug-in used to reinforce or replace recorded drum sounds with samples.

The brand is known for its drum sample libraries and expansion packs, including releases bearing the names of Chris Lord-Alge, Terry Date, David Bendeth and Patrick Carney, alongside Blackbird studio expansions. These products provide additional drum sounds for the SSD and TRIGGER platforms.

MyGear currently lists 12 products in stock at partner retailers, priced from £69 to £129. Although grouped under electronic drum kits in the catalogue, these listings cover software instruments, drum-replacement tools and sample expansions rather than complete physical kits. The listed range therefore sits in the software and sound-library segment of the drum-production market.
