Evans 13" Hydraulic Red Coated Snare Batter

Available from Gear4Music at € 31,74.

The Evans 13" Hydraulic Red Coated Snare Batter is suited to rock and funk drummers who want a deep controlled snare sound with minimal overtones. Built with two plies of film and a thin layer of oil between them this head naturally shortens sustain and emphasises a fat punchy attack. The result is a darker tone that sits neatly in dense mixes particularly useful for rock and pop setups where clarity and control matter. The translucent frost coating adds extra warmth and focus helping your snare speak clearly without excessive ring. It also gives the head a slightly softer feel under the stick. Evans Level 360 Technology improves the fit across the drum shell making tuning more straightforward while widening the available pitch range. With its distinctive red finish and controlled response this Hydraulic head is a practical option if you want a snare tone reminiscent of classic 1970s rock recordings.
