The Goetz Tourte shaped rubber cello mute is an ideal performance mute. This sound-absorbing soft rubber mute can remain attached to your strings when youre not using it. As a Tourte-style mute it sits behind your bridge without disturbing your normal playing at all then is quick and simple to slide onto your bridge for a light muting effect. Feel confident with your new orchestral mute. Give your instrument a sweet soft tone. The Tourte mute will dampen the vibration of your bridge creating a muted delicate tone to really build an atmosphere. Particularly as part of a string section this effect is dramatic and impressive.
