The Gretsch Gold Series Snare Drum 14 x 8 Swamp Dawg is one of the most versatile snares from the Gretsch Gold Series. The Swamp Dawg features an expansive tuning range because of the deep shell design. When tuned lower the snare creates a darker low-fi type sound normally associated with retro-sounding drums. At higher tunings the Swamp Dawg delivers a quick saturating attack with a fuller body.The snare drum features a 6-ply mahogany shell for a warm tone whilst the 8 tube lugs and triple flange hoops help the drum deliver an open natural sound with a classic look. The 42-strand snare wires and Remo Emperor batter head give the drum that extra punchy sound and snare response.
