Meinl Byzance Vintage 20" Sand Ride

Available from Gear4Music at € 599,72.

A ride for all occasions. Subtle rhythmic pushes driving crashes or pointed bell accents - the Meinl Byzance Vintage 20" Sand Ride handles them all with style. Its sandblasted playing surface not only looks a million dollars but sounds it too - producing an outstanding dry and fast stick sound with a quick decay. The stunning subdued upper surface is complemented by an engraved Benny Greb logo with the underside sporting an interior lathed section which contrasts the hand-hammered finish beautifully. More than capable of producing a satisfying crash when played at its edge the Sand Rides timbre mellows as your contact point moves towards the centre giving an understated yet present rolling ride character. The bell provides yet more sonic options yielding a pronounced tone perfect for adding moments of excitement to any beat. With its vintage tone and looks to match the Byzance Sand Ride is the perfect partner for drummers seeking a sweet and versatile ride.
