The Rousseau 3.0 Classic RC Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece is designed for classical players wanting a darker more resonant alto sound with dependable control. The RC3 model pairs a true round chamber with a traditional baffle producing a warm centred tone with balanced resistance focused projection and strong tonal stability across the full range of the instrument. Its carefully developed facing curve helps create a natural balance between freedom and resistance giving you greater control over dynamics articulation and phrasing without sacrificing responsiveness. The 1.68 mm tip opening offers a comfortable controlled feel that suits both ensemble and solo playing while the ebonite construction contributes additional warmth and depth to the sound. Inspired by French-style classical mouthpiece concepts the Classic RC Alto blends naturally in quartets wind ensembles and chamber settings yet still provides the flexibility and tonal colour needed for exposed solo repertoire. Each mouthpiece is manufactured entirely in the USA at the JodyJazz factory where it is hand-finished and playtested for consistency.
