The Spitfire Audio Originals Cinematic Frozen Strings is a strings virtual instrument plugin that captures intimate and cutting strings using experimental and unique recording techniques. Ideal for composers shaping quiet textural cues or building subtle movement into atmospheric scores Cinematic Frozen Strings delivers a distinct raw icy tone. You get an eight-player section captured at the world-famous AIR Studios Lyndhurst Hall giving you a focused set of experimental techniques recorded at the softest levels. These sounds lean into raw bow noise gentle transitions and delicate tonal shifts so you can add tension or calm with very little effort. Recording the eight-piece with a Super Close microphone signal helps you hear every tiny detail while the Close and Tree options let you widen or thicken the image as needed. With articulations including flautando brushed spiccato col legno and tremolo variations you can shape sparse lines shimmering beds or brittle movement that sits neatly inside larger arrangements. It also works seamlessly with libraries like Albion NEO LCO Textures and Contemporary Drama Toolkit slotting straight into modern scoring workflows.
