Vandoren 5RV Lyre Profie 88 Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece 13 Series

Available from Gear4Music at € 131,70.

The Vandoren 5RV Lyre Profile 88 Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece 13 Series is suited to players needing a focused tone with slightly freer airflow and reliable tuning at A = 440Hz. Its slightly more open tip than the standard 5RV allows more air through helping you achieve a fuller sound while keeping control. This balance supports stable intonation particularly in ensemble settings where blend and clarity are essential. The Profile 88 beak adjusts the angle of the mouthpiece giving you a flatter more natural embouchure (ideal if you prefer a lower profile feel). This added comfort can reduce fatigue and support cleaner articulation over longer sessions. Paired with a medium facing you get a more flexible feel for shaping phrases while maintaining consistent airflow. Made from ebonite it provides a stable tonal core with reliable resistance making it well-suited to both section playing and more exposed passages.
