The Vandoren BL5 Optimum Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece is suited to classical players wanting a broad rounded sound with responsive control. Based on the popular BL3 design the BL5 features a more open tip opening that helps you produce a fuller tone while maintaining clarity across the range. Its a useful option if you want extra projection and flexibility without losing the focused character needed for classical performance. The long facing provides a balanced response making articulation feel smooth and controlled during both solo and ensemble playing. Constructed from ebonite the mouthpiece delivers a warm tonal character and a familiar playing feel many saxophonists prefer. Tuned to A = 442 Hz the BL5 is designed to work comfortably within classical ensemble settings whether youre rehearsing performing or preparing for exams and recitals.
