Available from Gear4Music at € 44,10.

The Vandoren VK1 Synthetic Tenor Saxophone Reed 45 is designed for experienced players who want a firmer reed that offers strong resistance and control in demanding performance situations. Developed from a patented synthetic composite it reproduces the feel and sound behaviour of cane without the drawbacks of warping or rapid wear. This reed is ready to play straight from the box requiring no break-in or preparation. It can be easily washed and disinfected with alcohol or food-safe cleaners making it practical for regular hygienic use. Its durability ensures it lasts considerably longer than traditional cane reeds while maintaining stable performance over time. With a strength of 45 it delivers added resistance suited to players seeking extra projection and control. For the best results it should be stored flat in a smooth-surfaced reed holder rather than a standard grooved one.
