Wittner Float On Air Shoulder Rest System

Available from Gear4Music at € 92,90.

The Wittner Float On Air Shoulder Rest System is a lightweight violin shoulder and chin rest setup for comfortable natural-feeling playing sessions. Designed for 4/4 and 3/4 violins this system uses a free-floating construction that allows the instrument to vibrate more naturally helping your violin develop a fuller more open sound. At just 99 g the Float On Air system is noticeably lighter than many traditional shoulder rest and chin rest combinations reducing strain during longer rehearsals or performances. The rest can also be adjusted for both height and angle using the included adapter helping you find a more relaxed playing position. And because the arm and padding detach and reconnect with a built-in memory function your preferred settings stay consistent every time you play. Anti-allergic materials complete the design making this chin rest system well-suited to players with sensitive skin.
