With a body made from carefully selected Grenadilla wood this instrument delivers a rich precise tone whilst the silver-plated keys boast effortlessly smooth action and endless playability. The 17-key Boehm system is optimally set up to allow for rapid fluid responsiveness and the thickened key plating offers extreme stability at high volumes. Yamahas handcrafted custom models are a demonstration of their instrument-building pedigree. In the YCL-881II each tone hole undercut is individually shaped - for a beautifully balanced remarkably responsive instrument. Bladder pads are used giving the instrument a delicate touch and excellent sealing which allows for a wide dynamic range with highly expressive capabilities throughout. Built with an emphasis on quality youll be able to see why this clarinet can be found in many of the worlds finest orchestras. Please note that wooden instruments are affected by humidity and temperature and as a result the wood may expand and contract which would affect joints such as the tenons and bell rings.
