Shure SM58 vs Sennheiser MD 441-U: which should I buy?

Answered by Roadie
Choose the Shure SM58 for a lower-cost dynamic vocal microphone; consider the Sennheiser MD 441-U if you specifically need a supercardioid rather than cardioid pickup pattern and can justify the much higher spend.
The Shure SM58 is a cardioid dynamic vocal microphone, with a supplied best new price of €129. It is the more straightforward choice if you want a vocal microphone without the much larger outlay of the MD 441-U.
