The neck is crafted from mahogany with a '50s Vintage' rounded profile, offering a thicker grip compared to the slim-taper designs of the 1960s. The fingerboard is bound rosewood, adorned with classic acrylic trapezoid inlays and 22 frets, providing a familiar playing surface for traditionalists.

Electronics and Hardware

To achieve a period-correct sound, the guitar is equipped with Gibson Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups. These units are designed to recreate the characteristics of late 1950s Patent Applied For (PAF) humbuckers, known for their clarity and airy top end. The electronics are hand-wired and utilise Orange Drop capacitors to ensure tonal consistency and a smooth roll-off on the volume and tone controls.

The hardware set is finished in nickel and includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, which allows for precise intonation, and a lightweight aluminium stop bar tailpiece. The headstock is fitted with Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, maintaining the aesthetic of the era.

The combination of a heavy, solid mahogany back and a maple top results in a sound characterized by deep warmth, significant sustain, and a biting mid-range. The Burstbucker pickups provide a versatile output that ranges from sweet, articulated cleans to a rich, 'roaring' crunch when pushed through a tube amplifier.
