Harrie Jekkers (born 1953 in The Hague) is a Dutch singer, songwriter, and cabaret performer, best known as the frontman of the band Klein Orkest and for a celebrated solo career in Dutch kleinkunst. His warm, literate songwriting blends social observation, gentle humour, and unmistakable Hague colour. With Klein Orkest in the 1980s he scored enduring classics such as "Over de muur" — a poignant meditation on divided Berlin — and "Koos Werkeloos". After the band split he built a long-running solo career, touring theatres with programmes of songs and spoken word and writing beloved numbers including "Ik kan je dromen" and the Hague anthem "O, o, Den Haag". Accompanying himself and his musicians on stage, Jekkers remains one of the most cherished voices in Dutch song, admired for turning everyday life into tender, funny, and quietly moving theatre.
