Rosalía

Rosalía Vila Tobella, known mononymously as Rosalía, is a Spanish vocalist whose innovative approach to contemporary music has garnered global acclaim since her active career began in 2013. Originating from Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Catalonia, Rosalía initially immersed herself in flamenco, studying at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya. This deep foundation in traditional Spanish music profoundly shapes her signature sound. Her artistry fluidly blends art pop, flamenco, and reggaeton, creating a distinctive and often experimental sound. Rosalía achieved significant international recognition with her critically acclaimed 2018 album, *El Mal Querer*, a conceptual work that reimagined flamenco through a contemporary pop lens. She further expanded her electronic-pop explorations with the 2022 Grammy-winning *Motomami*, showcasing her versatility and willingness to innovate. Primarily a vocalist, her powerful and expressive voice is the central instrument guiding her genre-defying compositions.
