Schecter is an American musical-instrument brand founded in 1976, originally as a supplier of replacement guitar parts. Its range includes electric guitars, four- and five-string bass guitars, strings, cases and bags. The brand is particularly associated with rock and metal, while also offering instruments suited to other styles.

Schecter is known for its broad selection of six-, seven- and extended-range guitars. Its guitar families include the Hellraiser, Omen, Reaper and SLS Elite ranges. Models such as the Hellraiser C-1 and Omen Extreme-6 sit alongside seven-string instruments such as the Sunset-7 Extreme and the multiscale Reaper-7 Elite MS. Its bass catalogue also includes more traditional designs, such as the J-4.
