Taylor Guitars

Taylor Guitars is an American guitar manufacturer founded in 1974. Its range centres on steel-string acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars, with nylon-string electro-acoustic models also available. It also supplies accessories, including straps, capos, picks, care products and replacement parts.

The brand spans entry-level instruments within its own range through to premium guitars made with selected tonewoods and elaborate appointments. Models such as the Big Baby and Academy series sit alongside numbered series and higher-priced Builder’s Edition and Presentation instruments. MyGear currently lists 153 Taylor products in stock at partner retailers, priced from £4 to £7,399; that range includes low-cost accessories as well as guitars.

Taylor is known for its Grand Auditorium body shape, its bolt-on neck construction and its Expression System onboard electronics. Its catalogue includes the widely established 214ce and 314ce electro-acoustic models. V-Class bracing is another documented feature of many Taylor guitars, though construction and electronics vary by model.
