Up to now overdrive and distortion circuits have always been analog aside from expensive modelling technology Boss have seen the potential of digitally processing overdrive and created the remarkably innovative OD-1X. This pedal can process each frequency band separately and tailor the effect to each. This is alongside a shift in focus away from midrange so the pedal now emphasises bass and treble response giving a truly modern feel perfect for the studio. On top of this powerful tone-shaping the OD-1X then applies its signature natural compression to giving the output a really polished professional sound every time.
