The Boss OD-1X is not an OD-1 reissue its much more. Boss have decided to reinvent overdrive. Up to now overdrive and distortion circuits have always been analog aside from expensive modelling technology Boss have seen the potential of digitally processing overdrive and created the remarkably innovative OD-1X. This pedal can process each frequency band separately and tailor the effect to each. This is alongside a shift in focus away from midrange so the pedal now emphasises bass and treble response giving a truly modern feel perfect for the studio. On top of this powerful tone-shaping the OD-1X then applies its signature natural compression to giving the output a really polished professional sound every time.
