Crafted by Antoine Courtois this affordable quarter-tone trumpet comes equipped with four top-sprung Monel valves including a fourth piston dedicated to quarter-tone playing. Starting as an idea conceived by Ibrahims father Nassim Maalouf this four-piston feature opens up new horizons for playing classical contemporary jazz and music from diverse cultures such as the Middle East India Africa and Eastern Europe. Its hand-made one-piece yellow brass bell offers a full-bodied and focused tone whilst the standard rose brass lead pipe not only promises a sound of unmatched warmth and clarity but also pays homage to decades of French brass tradition.
