The D16 Group Devastor 2 Multiband Distortion Unit is a powerful multi-stage distortion plugin that can be used for everything from subtle fuzz for guitars all the way to audio-mangling madness. Whether you need to add a little more grit to your drums or want to create enormous crunching basslines the Devastor 2 equips you with all the tools youll need. Unlike other distortion units the Devastor 2 isnt limited to peaking EQs equipping you with a range of filters to properly shape the sound you want. Proving to be one of the best diode-clipper emulation available D16 Group has created something truly unique with its own signature sound. The plugin is comprised of four stages: Dynamics-flattener module diode-clipper distortion three multi-mode filter sections and a signal limiter (optional). The versatility of the plugin becomes apparent when you have the choice of how the signal can be processed. For example you can process the signal through filters before or after it is fed to the diode-clipper. The multi-mode filter section provides you with resonance and cutoff controls for advanced sound-shaping capabilities. The vintage-style GUI (graphical user interface) features a tag-based preset browser that features various settings to tweak and build upon.
