The centrepiece of your drumkit. The Dixon Drums 14 x 5.5 Artisan Series Equator Snare Drum is constructed from a 7.2mm oak shell topped off with 1mm of steel. The 7.2mm oak provides warm tonal qualities with a full-bodied presence when tuned up high. The 1mm steel builds on this adding exceptional power and durability to drive through the mix. This snare is fitted with a satin wenge hoop delivering further warmth and durability to the Equator. The perfect size for the perfect sound. The 14 x 5.5 shell provides a tight snappy tone. When tuned up the 14 x 5.5 Equator provides a precise and rapid tone while a lower tuning results in a wider dirtier tone. The Artisan Series Equator Snare Drum also incorporates a Flip-Drop style throw-off allowing you to instantly drop the snare wires and achieve a mixture of timbres.
