The Evans EQ3 Resonant Smooth White Bass Drum Head No Port 20" is great for live and studio performances. Its single ply 7.5mil film offers expressive tonality that helps it achieve low end thump with mid-range movement. To regulate this however an internal overtone control ring curbs the amount of resonance and enhances the thud - more punch. The lack of a port means you get more rebound from the beater a warmer tone with less-high end and a more pronounced low-end.Evans heads come with Level 360 Technology creating a tighter fit with the shell of a drum and wider tuning range that extends past the norms..
