The Eventide Temperance Pro is a modal reverb plug-in that lets you use musical notation to specify which notes will bloom or fade within the reverb. Unlike conventional reverbs Temperance Pro operates on the 12-note chromatic scale allowing you to emphasise or reduce specific notes within the reverb field. The Temper and Range controls let you shape harmonic content across selected octaves while Target and Note Width settings determine how and when those notes influence the space. Manual Sequencer and MIDI note-selection modes turn reverb into an active compositional tool making it easy to create movement that follows scales chords or live MIDI input. Alongside familiar controls such as Mix Size and Decay unique modal parameters including Density Position and Offset provide detailed control over the character of the space. With 29 modal environments low-latency performance and comprehensive visual metering Temperance Pro offers a new approach to creating musically responsive reverbs.
