The Fender Stainless Flatwounds 50XL are suited to jazz players and studio guitarists who value smooth feel and controlled tone. Built with a flatwound stainless steel wrap these strings feel slick under your fingers and noticeably cut down finger noise. That makes them a solid choice for clean recordings chord-heavy playing and styles where unwanted string noise can get in the way. The stainless steel construction also brings a clear articulate response while helping the strings last longer between changes.Tonally you get a warm rounded sound that works well for jazz soul and studio sessions where balance matters more than bite. The .011 - .050 gauge offers a comfortable amount of tension for expressive playing without feeling stiff. Plus the colour-coated ball ends make restringing quicker so you can spend less time changing strings and more time playing.
