The Gibson Custom 1958 Korina Explorer Reissue is a faithful take on an era-defining shape built with the snap and sustain that made the originals so addictive. A solid korina body and matching korina neck deliver lively attack with a sweet singing midrange while the 50s Vintage profile 12" rosewood board and 24.75" scale feel instantly at home under the fingers. Custombucker pickups supply classic PAF-style bite tone perfect for open chords that ring and lead lines that cut without harshness. Finished in nitrocellulose VOS for that gently aged sheen it looks and feels like a well-kept survivor from the golden era Hardware is dialled for tone and reliability: an ABR-1 bridge and lightweight aluminium stop bar maximise resonance and keep intonation honest with Kluson tuners providing smooth accurate changes. The hand-wired loom uses vintage taper CTS pots and a phone book capacitor for a musical sweep and touch-sensitive response. Period-correct touches such as a 4-ply black pickguard true historic knobs and aged gold hardware complete the look while the historic brown/pink case keeps it safe between sessions.
