The Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard Ultra Light Aged in Southern Fade is a breathtaking recreation of one of the most sought-after guitars in history. Built with a lightweight one-piece mahogany back and a two-piece figured maple top joined with hide glue it delivers the resonance sustain and tonal character that defined the golden age of Gibson. The nitrocellulose finish has been treated with Murphy Labs ultra light ageing process giving the guitar the vibe of a lovingly played original while maintaining rock-solid reliability for todays player. A solid mahogany neck with a 50s rounded medium C profile is topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard fitted with 22 historic medium-jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays for authentic vintage feel.
