The straight-sided chrome over brass shell measures 6.5x14 (10 lugs) and features the Gretsch 302 3mm/double-flanged hoops lightning throw off and butt plate to create a drum that gives you tools to create your ideal tone. A snap-in drum key holder gives you quick access for tuning ideal for live players needing a quick change. The 20-strand snare wire and Gretsch Permatone drum head produce a classic tone straight from the box and provide a great starting place. The brass shell resonates with classic musical tones and is extremely versatile that work with the 302 hoops to provide a timbre that is more open and ambient than traditional Gretsch die-cast hoops.
