The Gretsch USA 13" x 6" Chrome Over Brass Snare Drum is a compact brass snare suited to precise backbeats and responsive studio work. Its chrome-plated 1.2 mm brass shell produces a clear cutting attack with plenty of body underneath. That balance works well in tighter setups where articulation matters whether youre recording detailed ghost notes or locking into punchy live grooves. A 45-degree bearing edge helps the drum respond quickly to your touch keeping strokes consistent across the head.Die-cast hoops focus the sound and help hold tuning firmly in place during longer sessions. The Lightning throw-off engages the snare wires smoothly while the snap-in key holder keeps your drum key exactly where you need it. Inside Gretsch fits a 20-strand snare wire designed for the 13" format giving you crisp sensitivity without excess rattle. Remo heads come fitted as standard and the drum is built in the U.S.A. following Gretschs long-standing approach to shell construction and hardware design.
