The Hohner Orchestra Chord 48 provides perhaps the largest selection of chords possible on any orchestral harmonica. Every major minor dominant 7th diminished and augmented chord is available in four part voicings allowing you to play in any key you want. Wide voicings with octaves produce a full sound and the cleverly positioned bass reeds on the inner rows balance out the sound so the bass frequencies can be heard. Playing this harp is comfortable thanks to the ABS comb and it will also remain stable in all climate conditions. The layout is simple on the top row are major chords and on the lower row are minor chords. They run along the length of the harp according to the circle of fifths starting from F#/Gb. To cater for the professional musician each chord is on its own separately mounted reed plate allowing you to choose a different layout to suit your playing best. Like most Hohner instruments you can do this by simply unscrewing the harp and taking it apart. For such a valuable and unique instrument keeping it safe is paramount.
