The Hokema Twin Kalimba features two identically tuned 9-note kalimbas mounted together on one block. This allows you to play solo or with another person. When playing alone simply hold the kalimba in both hands and use your thumbs to play the notes on both sides of the kalimba. This creates a full sound with excellent resonance. For the advanced player the Hokema Twin Kalimba offers the potential for a wider range of scales by retuning individual notes. When played in duo the resonation can be physically felt by both players and the identical tuning of the two sets of notes guarantees harmonious tone sequences and sounds. The kalimba stays in tune when being played but the tuning can be changed if desired.
