The LP Udu Drum Utar is a well-made udu drum created by Latin Percussion and developed in collaboration with ceramicist Frank Giorgini. Expertly crafted from clay to offer a traditional udu aesthetic the Utar possesses the lowest pitch of all udus. The flat round shell itself produces cowbell like tones whilst the bell chamber delivers bright and wet tonality. With a vast soundbank the LP Utar can be played in many ways to get a varied sound. Play with the palm of your hand for powerful low udu sounds or with your fingertips for higher intricate embellishments. The textured surface provides additional tonal variations displaying an element of individuality both in tones and looks. Complete with a wicker hoop for added playing support and storage. This drum is ideal for various acoustic playing situations. The Utar is perfect for conga and bongo players delivering a deep and traditional dimension to any drum sound.
