The Medieval Tabor Drum by Gear4music (13.5" x 19") is suited to historical performances ensembles and mobile percussion playing. Its goat skin heads and ashwood ply shell deliver a natural resonant sound with plenty of rhythmic presence. A traditional string snare runs across the head adding the crisp buzzing texture associated with tabor drums while a side-mounted peg lets you adjust its tension. Rope lacing and sliding leather tensioners provide control over the drumhead tension helping you tailor its response and pitch. And for performances on the move the rope strap lets you carry the drum while you play. Two white cedar sticks with padded striking ends are supplied alongside a carry bag giving you the essentials for rehearsing performing storing and transporting your drum.
