Traditional in look traditional in sound! The Meinl Artisan Series 12 Tongo Carved Djembe Coloured Carving is ideal for drum circles and percussion performances. The drum shell is made from one solid piece of mahogany wood with a rubber bottom which prevents scratches. There is also a hand selected goat skin drumhead which produces amazing sounds from deep bass tones to cutting slaps. The finish of the drum is of eye-catching colourful ornamental carving. The ropes are tied in a traditional mali-weave which is a tuning system designed to keep the drum in tune for longer.
