The Meinl Percussion Artisan Edition Cajon Cantina Line features adjustable strings and an extra thick wooden sound port ring for bass compression. This ensures a wide dynamic range of highs and lows. Its two sets of six micro-coiled metal strings produce a snapping snare effect and are adjustable with the included tuning key. These strings are hand-wound in the style of master cajon builder Jose "Pepote" Hernandez Diaz and respond with the utmost sensitivity during performance. The Cajons tremendous resonance is thanks to the body of 9-ply 12mm-thick Baltic Birch wood offering full punchy tones that project with clarity and true warmth.
