Built with a two-ply chamchuri wood shell its designed to handle regular playing while maintaining the character expected from a traditional barril. The 14" diameter and tall 26" shell give you the projection and depth needed for clear expressive parts in both ensemble and solo settings. A hand-selected goatskin head sits at the heart of the sound providing a warm resonant tone with a natural response under the hands. This makes it easier to control dynamics and articulation especially during longer performances. Traditional rims and decorative metal bands complete the build staying true to folkloric design while adding a refined visual touch. Finished in antique brown and supplied with a protective bag this Primo-sized barril is ready for rehearsals performances and transport straight out of the box.
