In commemoration of the 100th birthday of the JJ Babbitt Company Meyer issued a new edition of the 1948 Meyer Bros New York mouthpiece. Built to the same specifications as the original the New York retains all of the warmth richness and projection which has drawn so many legendary saxophonists to the classic mouthpiece. This hand-crafted mouthpiece has a narrow tip opening offering a much lighter response and easier access to the upper registers - making this an excellent mouthpiece for complex and technical playing. Meyer mouthpieces have been produced in the USA since 1916. Since then they have gained acclaim from jazz musicians the world over and are particularly sought after by those seeking sweet vintage tones and free-blowing responsiveness. The Meyer New York comes included with a matching ligature and mouthpiece cap.
