Pirastro Evah Pirazzi double bass strings are a synthetic core string range with a large and powerful sound thanks to the chrome steel winding. These strings are great all-around strings performing well in both arco playing and pizzicato playing. The sound produced is big dark and well-rounded. As this is the double bass the lower frequencies are emphasised and there is an outstanding resonant decay. Projection can be difficult on an instrument as low and relatively quiet as the bass fortunately the Evah Pirazzi double bass strings aid with the projection of the instrument and can really elevate your sound. The strings are resistant to changes in humidity and temperature making them perfect for travelling. The playing in time is also relatively short so your strings wont take too long to stabilise after you first put them on.
