Its 0.8mm Steel shell provides a bright articulate sound with long sustain and a clear cutting attack that easily cuts through mixes. The shallow depth of the snare limits sustain providing a controlled response ideal for precise punchy playing while steel shells offer greater clarity and resonance compared to wood. Steel rims shots are especially sharp and penetrating making them popular for loud high-energy musical settings. This snare features a 24-strand snare wire that provides a crisp snappy attack with enhanced snare buzz due to increasing contact with the bottom head resulting in a brighter more pronounced snare sound. 1.5mm triple-flange drum hoops offer a more open and resonant sound that gives the drum a more natural expressive sound.
