The overall character is dark but there are sweet bright overtones adding extra sparkle to the sound too. It responds quickly; sounds mellow and has bright overtones at all dynamic levels for versatile use. Made using the same traditional methods as other AA cymbals the Sabian AA 16 Thin Crash Cymbal is one of the more mellow crash cymbals in the AA series making it ideal for studio use and less aggressive styles of music. Working great live due to its projection it sounds full and present when recorded.
