Its handcrafted two-micron aluminium ribbon responds quickly to quiet performance details while preserving the smooth natural character associated with classic ribbon microphones. An extended response reaching 18 kHz keeps the upper frequencies open and clear without introducing unwanted harshness.The figure-eight pattern captures sound at the front and rear while strongly reducing pickup at the sides helping separate neighbouring studio sources. Its passive transformer design requires no phantom power and benefits from a low-noise preamp with plenty of clean gain when recording quieter material. Steel construction protects the internal ribbon while the MC44 clip WS12 windscreen SHM12 shock mount and soft case provide a complete package for professional studio sessions.
