The sE Electronics VR2 Next Generation Active Ribbon Microphone is a higher-output ribbon microphone for detailed studio recording of quiet and dynamic sources. Its handcrafted two-micron aluminium ribbon captures delicate vocals strings acoustic instruments and room ambience with a smooth natural character. Extended response reaching 18 kHz retains clear upper-frequency detail without creating the sharpness sometimes associated with brighter microphones.Ultra-low-noise Class-A electronics and an additional handcrafted transformer provide 7 dB more output than the passive VR1. This reduces the preamp gain required when capturing quieter performances. The figure-eight pattern records sound at the front and rear while rejecting more sound at the sides helping you manage spill and room reflections. The steel body protects the ribbon during frequent studio use while redesigned mounting and storage accessories provide a complete recording package.
