The sE Electronics sE8 Omni Capsule is designed for engineers and producers capturing detailed natural recordings. Its omnidirectional polar pattern provides consistent pickup around the capsule helping you capture both the source and its surrounding acoustic environment with minimal colouration. This makes it well suited to orchestras ensembles choirs solo instruments vocals and percussion. The hand-crafted true condenser capsule uses an ultra-thin gold-sputtered diaphragm for fast transient response so subtle details and sharp attacks are reproduced clearly. Low-noise Class-A electronics and a transformerless signal path also provide wide dynamic range and transparent sound. And when levels get challenging two attenuation settings let you close-mic louder sources such as brass timpani and drums without overloading your preamp or mixer. Selectable 80Hz and 160Hz low-cut filters provide practical control over rumble footfall noise and unwanted low-frequency energy.
