The Sela 24" Chau Gong Sun is a handmade traditional gong for meditation sound therapy performances and musical exploration. Crafted from a special bronze alloy it produces deep fundamental tones with a rich overtone spectrum and long-lasting vibrations. Its responsive character reacts sensitively to different playing techniques and dynamics giving you plenty of control over the sound.The distinctive Sun finish combines an untreated matte bronze surface with polished concentric rings that create striking visual contrast while subtly shaping the gongs response. These polished sections add clarity and projection preserving the earthy complex character of the untreated bronze. Visible hammer marks and natural patina ensure every gong has its own unique appearance and sound. Complete with a fleece-headed beech mallet and a black carrying bag its ready for transport storage and playing straight away.
